All women need to be aware of their vagina’s health. Keeping it healthy means you will avoid infections and also have a pleasant odor and the tips enclosed will ensure that you have optimum vagina health
A healthy vagina is home to a huge variety of minute organisms. Normally, they live harmoniously in an acidic environment that prevents the overproduction of any one species in the vagina and helps combat foreign bodies that can infect it.
Vaginal infections are common and occur when the delicate balance is disrupted can cause discomfort in the area and unpleasant smells.
Firstly, the health of a women’s Vagina and the smell are influenced by overall lifestyle, diet and weight.
“Click Here To Learn How To Cure Your Yeast Infection!”
If you follow the tips below you can ensure a healthy vagina so here they are:
1. Your Overall Diet
Eat a healthy diet. Cigarettes alcohol and drugs should be eliminated if you can or cut down, as should heavily spiced foods and junk food.
Try and eat as naturally as possible (food free of additives) and make sure you drink lots of water. What you put into your body comes out in its secretions and the vagina is the same. Ever noticed how your sweat smells differently after eating spiced food, then you will realize why this is so important.
2. Cleaning
Odor-producing bacteria can thrive on the vulva and need to be cleaned off regularly to prevent vaginal inflections and prevent odors.
Washing the genital area daily with a simple, fragrance-free soap is normally enough to keep the vagina area clean and fresh.
Your vagina self-cleans itself so douching is not required.
Furthermore, douching upsets the delicate balance between good and bad bacteria in the vaginal ecosystem and can actually be harmful.
Because infections such as yeasts are found in the intestine, it is important after going to the toilet to wipe front to back i.e. you need to wipe the vagina area first and the rectum last!
During sex it is also very important to avoid contamination of the vagina area with organisms and bodies from the bowel, or rectum area.
3. Clothes to wear
To prevent vaginal infections and keep your vagina healthy make sure your clothing allows the area to breath. To do this avoids tight garments and fabrics containing a high percentage of synthetic fibers such as nylon.
Remember, that tampons and diaphragms left for too long in the vagina can create a very strong unpleasant odor as well.
4. Safe sex
Finally, if you don’t know your partner very well, always Use a condom and a spermicidal to reduce the chances of infection and disease.
“Click Here To Learn How To Cure Your Yeast Infection!”
If you are unlucky enough to get an infection, the symptoms are outlined below of three of the most common ones.
The good news is that to reclaim a healthy vagina is easy, if you are alerted to the problem and take action.
1. Bacterial vaginosis
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) accounts for more than 50% of all vagina related health visits.
About half of all women with BV vaginal infections have no obvious symptoms.
The most common symptom is a thin, white to light grey discharge with an offensive fishy like smell that is extremely unpleasant.
The odor is strongest when the discharge is exposed to any alkaline substance and this includes soap and semen, it will therefore be at its strongest and most obvious after cleaning or sex.
BV is easy to treat and is normally treated by a course of antibiotics prescribed by a doctor.
2. Yeast
Although yeast infections are probably the most common type of vaginal infection, many women never bother to seek help.
Most simply recover naturally and others treat themselves with anti-fungal vaginal creams available without prescription from the chemist.
Symptoms of yeast infections include:
Vulvar itching combined with irritation in the vagina area and redness.
If the urinary opening becomes inflamed, urination will increase and discomfort will be present. If the infection is severe, the vulva will swell and fine breaks, called fissures occur. This causes vaginal discharges to become thicker and whiter.
Yeast infections are the result of excessive growth of a family of fungi that normally live in any healthy vagina, but when they increase the balance of the vagina is upset and problems occur.
The most common infection is vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC), which is usually caused by a fungus named Candida albicans.
There are two types of VVC:
Uncomplicated, a mild infection that responds to therapy. Or recurrent which, is more severe and often occurs in women who have diabetes or are infected with less treatable forms of yeast, such as Candida glabratia.
Recurrent VVC, normaly occurs more than four times a year and needs a long initial treatment of around two weeks and then a follow-up therapy course for up to 6 months or longer.
Certain factors are common causes such as nylon and Lycra clothing that traps heat and moisture, so be aware of our clothing tips for a healthy vagina we noted earlier.
“Click Here To Learn How To Cure Your Yeast Infection!”
Other common causes include:
Obesity, pregnancy, diabetes and suppression of the immune system during illnesses, the use of oral contraceptives, and eating excessive amounts of sugars, starch, and yeasts.
If you do have a yeast vaginal infection, your doctor will ordinarily treat you with either prescription or nonprescription antifungal creams and suppositories referred to earlier.
If you have a problem get professional help and you will soon have a healthy vagina. Do not ignore symptoms or think they will go away get help quickly.
3. Trichomoniasis
Trichomoniasis, or “trich,” is a sexually transmitted vaginal infection suffered by a huge amount of women worldwide and this runs into tens of millions. While infection with trichomoniasis can be uncomfortable, it is not in anyway a serious threat to overall health.
The symptoms are normally vulvar and vaginal burning and itching. The burning is normally at its height after intercourse.
In addition, there may be vulvar swelling and frequent and uncomfortable urination. There is a heavy vaginal discharge, usually yellowish or green, which may or may not have an offensive smell.
The trichomonad is a minute parasite. It has three tails at its narrow end and swims with them and the white blood cells of the body follow.
These blood cells literally chase down the trichomonad and kill it by eating it.
Symptoms occur only when the body’s natural defense are swamped by with sheer number of reproducing trichomonads and the white blood cells cannot cope.
Trichomoniasis is usually easily diagnosed and antibiotic treatment cures it in the majority of cases.
Follow the tips above for a healthy vagina and if you do have a problem don’t worry or be embarrassed simply seek help quickly and clear up the problem, in the vast majority of cases treatment is quick, easy and painless

Chronic candida overgrowth, doctors cant help, any suggestions or experiences?
January 25, 2011 by admin
Filed under natural treatments for yeast infections
Hey all, I have had chronic Candida overgrowth for probably 5 years already. As of yet, any medication that I have tried only worked for a week or so and then my symptoms came back. When I tried natural remedies, and I did it for over a year, they helped me at the moment but as soon as I stopped my symptoms came back. I can not eat, pretty much anything but lettuce and cucumbers and garlic. Those are the three things that will not cause me to be in severe pain. Basically, it’s as if I am allergic to all foods that cause Candida to grow. My symptoms started out with a severe yeast infection and went to cystitis then to severe weight gain and in the process I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. I did the full treatment for Hepatitis C and during the one year treatment all my Candida problems went away. And again, as soon as I concluded my treatment my body went back to having the same Candida problems as before, the weekly yeast infections, the severe pain during urination, etc.
I am pretty sure that my Hepatitis C was cause by my chronic Candida infection, but our knowledgeable doctors can not diagnose Candida overgrowth and blame it on something else. To date, I am still struggling with chronic Candida overgrowth and after tons of research and trials of herbal medications I have yet to find an actual cure, not just a cover up for the problem.
I would love it if someone, who had a similar experience as mine and found a cure for the infection, helped me out in this dire situation. I will be forever grateful, and I do want to mention that I know quiet a few people who have gone through the same thing that I am going through, but till this date have not been successful in finding an actual solution to the problem. Any information is greatly appreciated.
A nutritionist is a good idea, thank you.

I have taken Diflucan and Nystatin but each time i stopped taking them I had recuring infections. And I did get tested for all kinds of STD’s and HIV and I am negative for all.
Piratephyl and nichole m, thank you so much, you have provided me with some new information. Piratephyl i have just gone to the yeastconnection site u gave me and its incredible, i can attain so much more information regarding my situation, thank you! Nichole m i have just e-mailed the doctor you told me about, since i live in New York, it will be hard for me to go see him. I am really happy that you had found a cure for your problem, thank you!
It is TOTAL B.S. that your doctor can’t help. Make him! Get the book called the Yeast Connection by Dr. William Crook and take it to your doctor. I had to. It is very informative and it helped me after I got it into my doctor’s hands and he listened and he FINALLY prescribed something. I was really tired of him thinking I was a hypochondriac! I haven’t had to see him much since, and never again for a yeast problem! (with exception of minor ones after taking a round antibiotics).

There are oral drugs (Nystatin is one I took for almost a year- it was actuality 11 months and 12 days with no yeast infection recurrence with exception of that noted above) you can take that will take care of it. (Fluconazole is another–taken as a weekly or monthly maintenance or suppressive treatment for 6 months to 1 year, to stop persistent, recurring vaginal yeast infection. All cases of recurring vaginal yeast infections should be confirmed by culture before preventive therapy begins).
You can bet that the yeast infection is all through your body including your joints, as well as in your intestinal tract and stomach contributing to a lot of your discomfort. You need increase your intake of yogurt with active cultures (make sure they are active cultures and so stated on the labeling) that seems to help also.
Go Here To Learn More About Candidiasis/Yeast Infection
I have also included a link to some homeopathic remedy’s that may help, but in my opinion, they would not be effective for you without the aid of pharmaceuticals. My suggestion that what they suggest may be used after the infection is under control, as maintenance and preventative.
Don’t take bubble baths and limit your use of scented body wash, sprays, soap, detergents, perfume, etc. Wear only 100% cotton underwear (very important), don’t sit around in a wet bathing suit. Change to something dry the minute you get out of water. Just attention to some little details like those above will help.
After you are able to get your yeast overgrowth under control, your diet will open up and you will be able to eat what you want again. I went years without being able to eat normally, I was “allergic” to everything, and gained weight very easily although I did not over eat.
Good luck and know that THERE IS RELIEF out there just keep pursuing your physician and make he or she listen to you!!!!! The medicine is NOT harmful, not narcotic, and there is absolutely NO reason you should not be prescribed something that will HELP tremendously. If you can’t get your doctor to listen and prescribe something for you, find another one immediately and make sure you let him know you are doing so! If you don’t take control it isn’t going to happen!

Hello Ladies,
I need some serious advice.
I am 10 weeks today and I was told by my doctor that I have a yeast infection. I’m taking the generic 7 day treatment for monistat and when I used it the first time ( I used the applicator) I started getting cramps. Is that normal or should I be worried?

I used it for the 2nd time last night and still when I went to lay down I had cramps. I haven’t had any bleeding and before I started using the medicine I didn’t have cramps. I’m just extra worried since the last time I was pregnant it ended in miscarriage without even hearing a heartbeat. I have heard the heartbeat for this baby just a few days ago.
I’m praying that I have a healthy baby.

Is there any permanent cure for Yeast Infections?
One question I get all the time from people who are thinking about permanent cure for Yeast Infections is, “Is there any permanent cure for Yeast Infections”?
The answer is that Yeast infections carry with them, many different symptoms, often ones that could easily be associated with other infections and illnesses. For instance, many people become confused between yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis, since the symptoms are similar in nature.
There are also infections that are similar to that of candida that take place in other areas apart from the genital region, including yeast based skin infections, or infections caused by allergic reactions.
It’s important that you are absolutely sure that what you are dealing with is in fact a yeast infection so that you can take a direct approach to curing it and working towards permanent and lifetime prevention.

Yeast infections are curable, in fact, there are home based remedies available that will provide instant relief using household items readily available (or very affordable to purchase should you need them).
Yeast infections are also rather easy to eliminate permanently just by understanding what caused your infection in the first place, and then taking action in protecting your body and improving your immune system so that it can easily fight off any chance of a future infection.
Of all the guides and E-Reports that I have studied, two stands above them all both in providing accurate, clear and concise information and in offering simple remedies that you can do in the privacy of your own home to treat (and cure) yeast infections quickly and easily.

Do I have a yeast infection?
November 29, 2010 by admin
Filed under natural treatments for yeast infections
A couple of days ago, I went to the bathroom and noticed a lot of this thick, pale, cottage-cheese-like discharge, which doesn’t smell. Soon after, this crazy itching began in my vagina. I looked up the symptoms on the Internet and was surprised to learn that it seemed to be a yeast infection. I’ve never had a yeast infection before. I wanted to go to the doctor to make sure, but they don’t have any appointment openings for at least two weeks.
Go Here To Learn More About Candidiasis/Yeast Infection
Understandably, I don’t want to wait that long to get this taken care of. The different articles on the internet (I’ve read at least six) all say to go to the doctor if this is the first infection, since it could be something else, like an STD. I really don’t think it’s anything else – the symptoms match a yeast infection, but I’m not 100% sure. Am I in the middle of a yeast infection? Are there natural ways to get rid of it? If not, what’s the best over-the-counter treatment? How long is this going to last?

Hello,
Not only have I had these but a bladder infection and cysts on my ovary’s. All very painful.
I have found the over the counter stuff to be a waste of money, however it has been some time since my last one, maybe they are better now?
Go Here To Learn More About Candidiasis/Yeast Infection
The best thing to do is go to a doctor, doesn’t have to be your doctor (though it would be nice for it to be).
After you get this one cleared up (if it is just a yeast infection) consider eating some yogurts, cranberry juice (the real stuff is the best and what I drink, though there is that cocktail stuff).
Also tight clothing, jeans, underwear, swim suites also contribute to infections. So keep this in mind.
Hope this helps and wish you well!!
