she’s been to the doctor before and follow his treatment suggestions, but the infections keeps coming back. not as frequent but enough to be annoying.
I used to get them at least once a month, but then I started to take acidophilus pills once a day and garlic pills three times a day and I haven’t gotten one in 6 months. The acidophilus colonizes the yeast and garlic is a natural anti-fungal agent.

Has she tried wiping… back, not forward?
Cleanliness, seriously!

Tell her not to use soap in that area only warm water. I also heard yogurt was good for that. I hope this helps some. Good Luck!

Perhaps it’s not a yeast infection. It could be a bacterial infection which needs different types of treatment. I would discuss this w/ your doctor and if he didn’t mention this to you, then perhaps you should look for a different doctor. Also, don’t wear tight clothing, and be careful of what you wash your cloths in, that might be irritating you, as well.

does her boyfriend have a yeast infection? he should get checked out and treated as well. if he has one, she’s getting it, getting treated, and then he keeps giving it to her because he’s not getting treated. though they don’t generally cause any long term effects, and they’ll pass without treatment in a week or so, they are still annoying. but if they just keep passing them back an forth, there’s a bigger problem there.

a few things:
people with diabetes get chrinoc yeast infections because of the imbalance of sugars in their body (yeast is a sugar). If your friend has any signs and symptoms of diabetes this could be an underlying cause.
is she sexually active? Even if it is with one serious committeed boyfriend… your friend could be passing it back and forth between herself and her boyfriend without even knowing it. This can happen because they are not using a condom OR even with condom because a lot of the time men get yeast infections on their testicles which can come in contact with the vagina when a condom is on.
there are also the usual suggestions – cotton c=underwear and pants, significant;y minimize sugar from the diet (as well as beer, and bread products). always keep yourself clean and washed.
lastly, there is a product at the health food store called ‘yeast busters’ (could be called something else at different stores and or provinces/states/countries). This is for people with chronic yeast infections… its a strict regiment but i’ve heard it works.

She could be diabetic. If she’s excreting sugar in her urine it’s the perfect envionment for yeast. Yeast infections are an indicator of diabetes. Buy some test strips at the pharmacy and tell her to check her urine glucose.

This happened to my friend and she found out she had hpv. Her boyfriend naturally carries the virus.

this friend is obviously you, because why would a friend tell you this? And all I can say is that maybe it’s teh underwear you are wearing or the food you are eaitng. Too many carbs can do it, same with too much moisture down there, caused by underwear that is not cotton. Try cotton underwear and a flowy skirt to get the air flowing.

Sitz baths, eat lots of yogurt and go to the store and buy candida health tablets.

Don’t bother with tablets to fix it after it’s already there, go to the root of the problem. Tell your friend to check out this site, it helped my girlfriend bigtime.
